Bryony Davies wins fellowship award

Congratulations to our current Research Assistant, Bryony Davies, who is the first-ever recipient of an FLRF Fellowship award. This will support Bryony’s 3-year DPhil researching breastfeeding to improve health outcomes for Small Vulnerable Newborns.

“We want to understand how maternal and infant illnesses impact breastmilk production and breastfeeding success. The Fellowship offers a unique opportunity to investigate with two lenses – molecular biology and endocrinology – and collaborate with international experts in two labs. I’m so excited to work on such an impactful project,” says Bryony.

Bryony’s project is called: ‘Impact of maternal and infant morbidity on secretory activation’ and she will be working across two FLRF research centers endowed by FLRF. She will be supervised in Oxford by Prof. Fadil Hannan and by Prof. Lars Bode, LRF MOMI CORE, University of California San Diego.
